Marbled Paper
Marbling is the process of dying paper with intricate patterns to adorn covers and create end sheets. In our studio, we cater our marbling to the colors and patterns appropriate for the book’s time period. Being such a specialized practice, marbled paper is considered a standalone art and a compliment to binding.
Our bookbinders can create patterns spanning hundreds of years from any country. Featured below are examples of stone, French curl, ripple, and custom-designed marbling.
